Kevin is a Client Advisor, Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Peregrine.  Additionally, he serves as Chief Compliance Officer and is actively involved in the day-to-day business operations of the firm.

Prior to founding Peregrine in 2010, Kevin spent nine years as a Client Advisor and Portfolio Manager at Medley & Brown, LLC, a registered investment advisor in Jackson, Mississippi, where he was involved in setting investment policy, conducting research and managing client assets.

In 2000, Kevin moved to Jackson after spending 10 years working for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons where he ultimately served as Chief Financial Officer.  Included in his responsibilities were negotiating player contracts and managing the team's salary cap.  His career with the Falcons was highlighted by the team's appearance in Super Bowl XXXIII.

Kevin attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on an athletic scholarship.  As the starting quarterback on the football team, he set 14 school records and earned Academic All-American honors.  In 1986, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Economics and Psychology and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

In 1989, Kevin received a Robert W. Woodruff Fellowship from Emory University where he received his Master of Business Administration degree with concentrations in Finance and Management.  He was elected to the business school's Honor Council and charged with promoting and enforcing academic integrity.  Additionally, he was selected for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma business national honor society.

Kevin has attended Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway shareholder meeting for 24 consecutive years and considers the 100-plus hours of listening to the wisdom of Mr. Buffett and Vice-Chairman Charlie Munger to be among his most valuable educational experiences.  He was first exposed to Mr. Buffett in 1990 when the investing icon visited Emory Business School, and he has devoted countless hours to studying Mr. Buffett's thoughts on investing and business.

Kevin is married to the former Eleanor Taylor of Jackson, Mississippi, and they have two children, Eleanor and Kevin.  They are members of St. James' Episcopal Church and reside in Jackson.

John serves as a Client Advisor, Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Peregrine.  Additionally, in his role as a Principal, he is active in the daily administration of the firm.

Between 2002 and 2010, John served as Chief Administrative Officer of The Five Smiths, Inc., providing family office services including the oversight of marketable securities portfolios, various real estate holdings, private investments, charitable giving, estate planning and business operations.

From 1993 to 2002, John was employed in his family's business, The Atlanta Falcons Football Club, where he held various positions in Business Operations, Finance, Marketing and Logistics.  Additionally, he served as Chief Financial Officer of The Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation.

John attended the University of Georgia, and in 1992, he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance. He furthered his education at Georgia State University where in 1998 he received his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance. In so doing, he earned membership in Beta Gamma Sigma business national honor society.

Since September 2010, John has served as Chief Administrative Officer of TDCR Group, LLC providing administrative family office services to certain of his family members for the purpose of monitoring family assets. Additionally, John serves on the Board of Directors of Encompass Group, LLC, a privately-held health care products manufacturer and distributor based in McDonough, Georgia.

John is very active in civic and charitable activities.  Since 2010, he has served as Trustee of The Lovett School in Atlanta where he formerly served as Chairman of the Board.  Additionally, he is an Emeritus Trustee of the University of Georgia Foundation where he served from 2008 through 2017 with positions on the Investment, Finance and Nominating Committees.

John previously served on the First Tee Board of the East Lake Community Foundation, a mentoring, education, and guidance program for youth in inner city Atlanta. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the John H. Carmical Foundation.

John is married to the former Rae Cole of Tifton, Georgia. They have three children, Mari Cole, Harriet and John O, and they make their home in Atlanta, where they are members of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.

As Operations Coordinator, Mirianda performs various accounting, administrative, compliance and operations functions including client service and transaction processing.

Prior to joining Peregrine in April 2012, Mirianda served as Administrative Director for Summers, Green, & LeRoux, LLP, a Jackson, Mississippi CPA^® firm. Her prior positions include Benefits Analyst for L-3 Communications, an aerospace and defense contractor, and Administrative Assistant for Glynn Griffing & Associates, an employee benefit services provider.

Mirianda attended Holmes Community College and Hinds Community College, receiving a Certificate in Intensive Business Training in 1993. She served as Vice-President of Future Business Leaders of America at Hinds and was awarded the Speech Award at Holmes.

Mirianda is married to Charlie Pigg, and they have four boys, Scott, Brandon, Brady, and Brayden. They reside in Benton, Mississippi and are members of Hillcrest Baptist Church of Yazoo City.

Kevin is a Client Advisor and Portfolio Manager at Peregrine. Along with the other advisors in the firm, he provides personalized investment advisory services to individuals, trusts, estates, businesses, and charitable organizations. Kevin works with clients to craft tailored investment strategies that align with their unique financial circumstances, goals, and risk tolerance. Additionally, he contributes to the firm’s client education initiatives by assisting with quarterly performance reports and commentaries to support informed decision-making.

As an investment analyst, Kevin participates in Peregrine’s rigorous due diligence process, including direct interactions with fund managers and analysts, to ensure investment decisions align with the firm’s philosophy. Committed to continuous education and professional development, he stays actively engaged with industry trends and investment management best practices.

Kevin began his career at Peregrine in 2018 as a Research/Operations Associate, a role he held for seven years. During this time, he developed extensive knowledge in investment research, back-office operations, regulatory compliance, and information technology. This diverse experience has given him a holistic understanding of the firm’s operations and strengthened his ability to deliver exceptional client service.

A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Kevin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with dual majors in Managerial Finance and Risk Management in 2017. Kevin is a member of St. James’ Episcopal Church and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
